CAMHL President, Trevor Gingrich, meets Brian Burke, President of Hockey Operations for the Calgary Flames

As the year comes in to a close, now more than ever, kids are looking for sporting gear, registration funds, and other ways to manage the costs to play in community sports.  And a major source of support for these financially challenged families is KidSport, an association who strives to ensure all kids have the opportunity to play in community sports.

As a gesture of appreciation to the community and their donors, KidSport held their Annual Luncheon on Monday, November 25th, 2013 at the Bow Valley Centre.  One of the exciting elements of this luncheon was the appearance of their special guest, Brian Burke, President of Hockey Operations for the Calgary Flames who is an avid supporter of KidSport as are the Calgary Flames.

Trevor Gingrich, President of CAMHL, met with Brian Burke and they both discussed the amazing mission and vision that KidSport possesses in striving to ensure that all families can support fulfilling their children's dreams to play in community sport.

"Sports in the community has a formidable benefit in social development, culture, and friendships across all Canadians!" states Trevor Gingrich.

The CAMHL (Calgary Adult Morning Hockey League, www.camhl.com) began contributing to KidSport last season and will make contributions to the KidSport Association through direct sponsorship and community support through the years to come!
